Further development and improvements of the BASEMENT software are mainly carried out in the scope of research projects, that can be desistingushed between ongoing research and finished projects.

One the one hand the research work allows for maintenance that preserves state of the art. On the other hand it facilitates the integration of new concepts that may be routed directly to engineering practice.
