Users' Meetings

The objective of the BASEMENT users' meetings is to facilitate the exchange among users as well as with the developers of the software. The contributions of the meeting should mainly come from practice but also comprise news from the development team.

The software BASEMENT is freely available and since 2006 new and improved versions of the software are continuously released. From VAW, no software support is provided. However, a comprehensive documentation, in terms of manuals and tutorials, is available for download. Further, the user forum is online since 2014. In addition the development team wants to facilitate the exchange among users. That is the reason for organizing regular users' meetings. 

10th BASEMENT User Meeting 2025

The 10th BASEMENT Users Meeting 2025, jointly organized by the VAW and the division of Hydraulic Engineering at the Institute for Construction and Environment of the University of Applied Sciences OST, Campus Rapperswil-Jona, was held on January 30, 2025. The event took place at the Campus Rapperswil-Jona of the University of Applied Sciences OST, drawing in more than 40 participants on site and more than 75 participants online.

We look forward to building on this success and eagerly anticipate next year's meeting in January 2026!
